Guest Author: Suzanne Lilly & 30 Day Book Challenge

Today, I welcome fellow Young Adult Author, Suzanne Lilly! Suzanne is the one who "issued" me the 30 Day Book challenge I told you about yesterday. Today, she's going to continue the challenge, by answering the question "What book do you love to hate?" Be sure to read all the way to the end to lear a bit more about Suzanne and her books! Welcome Suzanne!

Books You Love to Hate

Imagine my excitement when I opened my email one morning and saw a note from Amy, asking if I’d like to swap blog posts. Like to swap? I’d LOVE to swap! I’m thrilled to be here today! *waving hello*

This month, I’m doing a 30 Day Book Challenge, and you’re invited to join me. The 30 Day Book Challenge is not hard. Please read that out loud. The 30 Day Book Challenge is not hard. It’s fun! Here’s how it works.

Each day, answer a question from my Book Challenge list. You can do them in order, or if you’re a free spirit, a wild soul, and a creatively inspired individual, you may do them in any order you like. Mix it up! Pick a question and answer it on your social media. You can post it on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or wherever you hang out online. Heck, you could even print it on a paper and hang it in your car window. Just put a cute border on it and some sparkly stickers.

But I’m warning you now. It starts conversations. It also has a tendency to make your TBR list grow to looming proportions.

Amy's going to be posting her answer to one of the 30 Day Book Challenge questions on the Teacher Writer blog, on the 22nd. I hope you'll stop by and cheer her on!

I’m answering #18 today. What book do you absolutely love to hate? Why?

I absolutely, positively, adamantly, love to hate vampire books of any type. The one I hate the most is Interview with the Vampire, by Anne Rice.

Sorry, Anne. I know this book has made a fortune for you, not to mention global, and perhaps universal fame. However, I just could never get understand it. My kids all loved it, to the point where my son named his hamster Lestat. Obviously, the Vampire Chronicles have a certain appeal. Just not for me.

How about you? What books do you love to hate?

    1. You're welcome! I never read "Interview with the Vampire" either. I saw the movie and hated it, though!

  3. My husband loves Interview with the Vampire movie. He insists that it is better than Twilight. It's subjective! I love Twilight, specifically the books. The movies got better. I have told myself I would like to read the Vampire Chronicles but I don't think I would like those. I have read several of the Sookie Stackhouse books but grad school got in the way with that and I just never have picked those back up. I was reading those pre-kindle days!
