Books & Desserts - Apple Cinnamon Tart

Everyone likes a little dessert to go along with their reading material, right?

Today I'm sharing with you a SUPER easy dessert that looks and tastes amazing!

Puff pastry is one of those ingredients that you can keep in your freezer, then pull it out for a quick dinner or dessert. It makes a great topping for a chicken pot pie or a yummy crust for a tart or fruit pie. That's what today's recipe focuses on... Apple Cinnamon Tarts!

Ingredients:
2 Apples (cored, cut in half, then sliced thin)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (more or less to taste)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 sheet puff pastry

*Preheat oven to 415 degrees.

*Lay puff pastry sheet on greased baking sheet and cut in half.

* Mix sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla in a bowl. Toss to be sure apple slices are
   coated.



* Layer apple slices on each piece of puff pastry.

















* Bake for 16 - 19 minutes (depending on your oven).




* Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired! Slice and enjoy! Great served just as is, or with vanilla ice  
   cream!
