#SixSunday - Like He'd Never Let Me Go

Welcome back for another Six Sentence Sunday! As always, I'm so appreciative of your encouraging comments. I look forward to visiting your blogs today, as well.

I'm enjoying sharing bits of ONCE AND FOR ALL with you, in preparation for the January (hopefully) release! In the meantime, if you haven't read ONCE AGAIN - book 1 in the series - you can check it out by clicking the links to the right. The books are stand-alones, but I think you'll enjoy them better if you read them in order, since characters from book 1 "pop up" in book 2!

Today's excerpt follows a tragic event. Since I don't want to give anything away, I won't go into detail about the tragic event. However, Phoebe and Todd are seeing one another for the first time since the event, and things are a bit strained. And... then they're not.

ONCE AND FOR ALL is scheduled for release in late January! I hope you'll come back by and celebrate it with me!

He looked beyond me, to the small office in the back, and with a tilt of his head, he asked without words for me to follow him there.

I did, of course.

And pretended not to notice that he turned around to make sure no one was watching before closing the door behind us.

He grabbed me as soon as the door shut, wrapping his arms around me and burying his face in my hair. I forgot to be pissed at him for keeping me a secret. It was really hard to be mad when he was squeezing me like he'd never let me go.

  1. I like how she's sypathetic towards him when he's grabbing onto her. Wonder what secret he's been keeping? Fun six!

  2. I LIKE this - these two characters are wonderful with each other. Excellent excerpt!
