Six Sentence Sunday: A Fine Idea

It's Six Sentence Sunday!  Thanks in advance for all your encouraging comments.  I can't wait to visit your blogs and read your snippets today!

Again, I'm posting from my current work-in-progress, a Young Adult Paranormal called "Dusk".

Last week, Adrian was quite the sensitive guy, as he listened silently while Zoe spilled her guts.  Once she's finished re-hashing all the family skeletons (which proves pretty darn cathartic for her), Adrian suggests they take a ride.  On his bike.  And yeah... Zoe thinks that's a fiiiiiiiine idea.

"Let's go for a ride."  He inclined his head toward the bike.

My insides lit up like a Christmas tree.  Me, on a bike with Adrian, forced to hold on to him?  Yes, yes, and yes.  It was almost enough to make me forget.

  1. Ha! Nothing quite like a bike ride for an excuse to wrap your thighs around a guy, eh? Nice 6.

  4. I tried to post hours ago from bed, but Wordpress refused to acknowledge my identity, so I'm trying again. . .

Anyway, I so love Zoe. And in those few short sentences you've got me remembering being a teenager again! Super job! Heart this one!

  7. Great six! Totally took me back that age when any excuse to make contact with a guy was both terrifyingly exotic and magnetically irresistible.

  8. Ahhhh! I remember those days of being a young, insecure girl and those rare moments when I "had" to hold my crush's hand for prayer or kiss him under the mistletoe at a Christmas party. Those were sweet days!
