Quotable Discussions

Today's quote goes right along with last weeks "Quotable Discussions". A book is not only a "garden carried in the pocket" as the Chinese proverb says. It's an entire world of entertainment and knowledge right at your fingertips. It's something I hope my own children discover. It's my wish that children everywhere have people in their lives to show them the joy and love of reading.

"There are many little ways to enlarge your child's world. Love of books is the best of all."
— Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

  1. She is so dead-on right.
What an awesome quote and an awesome lady.

Did you get the book, 'Letters to Jackie'? A selection of letters written by Average Joe American Public to the First Lady after her husband was killed...Powerful, moving and deep.

  2. I've heard of the book, but haven't read it. I'll have to add it to my wishlist at Amazon. (BTW - that list is HUGE!)
